GAN’s kilim collection is expanded with a new creation by Sandra Figuerola, a regular contributor to GAN. The strong graphic character of Happy denotes the designer’s taste for geometric patterns, as well as her mastery of color.
Starring one of the most recurrent forms of Figuerola’s career in collaboration with GAN, Happy generates a set of transparencies from oblique ribbons that seem to intertwine. Neutral colors are alternated with other more intense ones, which are declined in other shades, creating a sensation of depth.
Happy is made manually in India following the ancient technique of kilim and using virgin wool. This craftsmanship achieves not only a high definition of the drawing, but also a completely flat and reversible piece, as light as it is resistant and ideal for any type of interior room and time of year.
